Thomas Greer was a man of refined tastes and substantial means, mostly stolen of course. So despite the chaos currently surrounding him as his men were in the process of flipping drawers and tearing sofa cushions apart he had no problem relaxing in the beautiful wing-back chair, with his Italian loafers propped up on a low mahogany coffee table, next to a bottle of red he had found in the kitchen. Casually swirling some of the contents he had poured into a large wine glass, he glanced over at the fireplace and found himself wishing for a different scene, that of a warm crackling fire rather than two of his lackeys poking through the cold charred ashes.
But the mission remained the primary objective and if they wished to succeed in their task they needed that disc. A shame, he thought, taking another slow draft from his glass, that the girl got away. With her in their custody he had no doubt that despite all his CIA training, Richard Chase would sing like a canary.

I read your book. Well Done! I love the story line, the intrigue and suspense, and the guessing that mentally challenged my mind on who is on what side of the fence of being a friend or foe. I would rank this with other spy thrillers that I enjoy reading. Clive Cussler, Tom Clancy had better take notice of your talent. I am looking for the sequel whereas Alexandra is now ready to take on a potential new career with her father.
It is amazing that you are new to the "being an author", having written a couple of books. You have talent that will sell many more books to come. A publisher is going to make some money off of you. Good luck on your sequel, as I know it will be spell binding and bring the reader to another great tale of espionage, justice, and new beginnings and understandings.

CIA agent Richard Chase has come into possession of some very valuable information in the form of an SD memory card. He believes that there is a mole on his CIA team, and hides the card with his estranged daughter, Alexandra. Too bad for her.
That is the basic plot of this debut novel by Patricia Goodsell, the first of a series. The book kept me reading into the late night hours as I just had to see what happened next. Just when I thought I knew where things were going, the story would take a surprising turn. This is what makes a good thriller, and is a good thriller. I don't want to give anything away with this review but there is a major twist that I did not see coming at all!
I am eagerly waiting for the second novel in the Chase Files!
